EZTrader.com, which is wholly owned and operated by WGM Services ltd, is a fully regulated company that is authorized by the Cyprus watchdog, CySEC, to offer its services, primarily being the trading of binary options, throughout Europe.
Wishing to be considered as a leading, reputable and reliable binary options trading platform and broker, it has nevertheless recently been the subject of a heavy fine imposed by CySEC, amounting to €340,000 for the alleged violation of several legal provisions concerning, inter alia, issues of money laundering and terrorist financing.
However, in a move which is in line with its past efforts to increase brand awareness, EZTrader has just announced that it has concluded a sponsorship deal with the popular English football club Tottenham Hotspur.
Aiming to continue its rapid growth and in search of new opportunities to further enhance its presence throughout Europe, EZTrader, currently already has five football partnerships across England, Germany, Sweden and France with leading teams, Everton FC, VfL Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen, AIK Football Sweden and Monaco.
According to a relevant statement issued by EZTrader, the new deal with Tottenham will be effective immediately and will be valid for the next two and a half years. Commenting on the agreement , the Head of Partnerships at Tottenham Hotspur Fran Jones, pointed out that: “EZTrader is building a strong presence in football with several partnerships across Europe and we are delighted to be coming on board. We look forward to working closely with them over the next two and a half years.”
On his behalf, Shimon Citron, the CEO at EZTrader, commented that: “As we continue to build our business and brand across Europe, it is increasingly important for us to have a partner in London, a financial and sporting capital. Tottenham Hotspur is an ambitious and iconic club and, with London as its home, the perfect choice of partner for us.”
Currently ranked 4th in the Premier Club, Tottenham is indeed a historic club that was formed back in 1882, as Hotspur F.C. Followed by a large fanbase across the UK, but especially in North London, Tottenham has many times recorded high attendance rates, while it also has a rich track record of success on the field since it has won the FA Cup eight times, the Football League twice, the Football League Cup four times, the UEFA Cup twice and also the UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup. The tea’s Cup Winners’ Cup victory in 1963 made Tottenham the first English team to win a UEFA competition, while in 1960–61 they became the first team to complete the Double in the 20th century.
The full financial details of the deal have not being disclosed, but under its terms EZTrader will become the Tottenham Hotspur’s official binary options trading partner, allowing it to take advantage of advertising opportunities at Spurs home games and across the club’s various communications channels. More specifically, the broker will be entitled to exclusive advertising rights at the Spurs’ White Hart Lane stadium at all events during the UK’s Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League matches, as well as gain access to other team-related communication channels, such as matchday programs and the club’s official website.
The signing of sponsorship deals between FX and binary options brokers is becoming a usual phenomenon as the outcome of such partnerships leads to a win-win situation. Football clubs gain financial benefits, which they are in particular need of, especially since some of the more traditional sponsors of their activities, for example the Barclays sponsorship of the UK football title, come to expiration and are not renewed, while on the other hand, brokers gain high profile brand awareness and exposure and consolidate themselves in the consciousness of fans and prospective traders as serious, reliable and prosperous firms that are able to enter into such partnerships with prestigious clubs and sportspeople. With this in mind, it is expected that during 2016 the FX and binary options industries will witness an increase in such deals with popular sport clubs, as more and more brokers will be jumping on this bandwagon, when designing and implementing their marketing efforts.
